UKi-Tutor (“we”, “us”) operates a platform connecting students and families with teachers of Ukrainian language, history, culture and related subjects. The data controller is Arwest LLC, 252 Armstrong Ave, Staten Island, NY 10308, USA.

Your email address, and either a password (stored and verified by Google Firebase Authentication — we never see it) or the basic profile Google returns if you sign in with Google. We also record which version of the Terms you accepted and when.
Whether the learner is under 13, 13–17, or 18 and over. We ask for a band rather than a birth date, because a three-way question does not justify collecting an exact date of birth. This answer decides whether the account is held by a parent.
Name, role, country, city, timezone, and optionally a photo, a short headline, a biography, learning goals, the languages you speak, and the Ukrainian community school you attend or teach at. Teachers additionally provide an hourly rate and may upload a teaching certificate.
Bookings, their times and status, messages exchanged with the other party, reviews you write, and any dispute you open.
Wallet balances and a record of each transaction. Card details never reach our servers — payments and teacher payouts are handled by Stripe, which collects card and bank information directly under its own privacy policy.
Standard server logs, and performance traces from the app. Traces are collected only in production builds and record how requests move through our systems, not what you write.
An account for a learner under 13 is created and held by a parent or guardian, who accepts the Terms and manages the child’s profile. We do not knowingly allow a child under 13 to hold their own account.
If you believe a child under 13 has registered without a parent, contact privacy@uki-tutor.com and we will remove the account and its data.
This is the part most policies leave vague, so it is written out. A teacher’s profile is discoverable in search, because being found is the point of listing. A student’s profile is not public.
A teacher can see a limited brief about a student only once they have a lesson together, and only the parts the student chose to share. You control those choices in your profile. Two exceptions, both stated in the product:
Your age band is always shared with a teacher you have booked, because a teacher is entitled to know they are teaching a minor. Your school is never shared with anyone — it is used to suggest teachers from your own community and for nothing else.
Where browsing without signing in is available, teachers are shown by first name only.
Lessons run over video through a third-party provider. We create the room and issue a short-lived token for it. We do not record lessons; if recording is ever offered it will be opt-in and this policy will say so before it launches.
To operate your account and run lessons; to match students with suitable teachers, including teachers from your own community school; to take payment and pay teachers; to keep the platform safe and resolve disputes; and to meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting records.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your messages or profile to train advertising models.
We use a small number of processors, each for a stated purpose:
Google Firebase — authentication. Stripe — payments and payouts. Our video provider — running the lesson call. Google Cloud and Cloudflare — hosting and delivery.
We also share what a lesson requires between the two people in it, as described in section 4. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
Our systems run in the United States. If you are in Ukraine, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States under appropriate safeguards.
Your account data for as long as the account exists. Lesson and payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is longer than the account itself. Support correspondence for as long as needed to handle the matter and any follow-up.
When you delete your account we delete or anonymise what we are not required to keep.
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal information, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing rests on it. Much of this is available directly in your profile; for the rest, write to privacy@uki-tutor.com.
If you are in the EEA or the UK you may also complain to your local supervisory authority. If you are in California you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we collect and to request deletion; we do not sell personal information.
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and never stored by us. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
We use browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your language. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
If we change this policy materially we will update the version and effective date shown at the top of this page, and give notice in the app before the change takes effect.

Ім’я, роль, країну, місто, часовий пояс, а також за бажанням фото, короткий опис, біографію, навчальні цілі, мови, якими ви володієте, і українську громадську школу, де ви навчаєтесь або викладаєте. Учителі додатково вказують погодинну ставку і можуть завантажити сертифікат.
Бронювання, їхній час і статус, повідомлення з іншою стороною, ваші відгуки та будь-яку відкриту вами суперечку.
Баланс гаманця та записи про операції. Дані картки ніколи не потрапляють на наші сервери — платежі та виплати вчителям обробляє Stripe, який збирає банківські дані напряму згідно з власною політикою конфіденційності.
Звичайні журнали сервера та дані про продуктивність застосунку. Останні збираються лише у робочих збірках і показують, як рухаються запити в наших системах, а не те, що ви пишете.
Акаунт для учня до 13 років створює і веде батько, мати або опікун: саме вони приймають Умови та керують профілем дитини. Ми свідомо не дозволяємо дитині до 13 років мати власний акаунт.
Якщо ви вважаєте, що дитина до 13 років зареєструвалася без батьків, напишіть на privacy@uki-tutor.com — ми видалимо акаунт і його дані.
Це те, про що більшість політик пише розпливчасто, тому напишемо прямо. Профіль учителя видно в пошуку — у цьому й сенс розміщення. Профіль учня не є публічним.
Учитель бачить обмежену довідку про учня лише тоді, коли між ними є урок, і лише те, чим учень вирішив поділитися. Ці рішення ви змінюєте у своєму профілі. Два винятки, про які прямо сказано в застосунку:
Ваш віковий діапазон бачить кожен заброньований учитель — учитель має право знати, що навчає неповнолітню особу. Вашу школу не бачить ніхто — вона потрібна лише для того, щоб пропонувати вам учителів вашої громади.
Там, де доступний перегляд без входу, учителі показані лише за іменем.
Уроки відбуваються у відео через стороннього постачальника. Ми створюємо кімнату і видаємо короткочасний токен до неї. Ми не записуємо уроки; якщо запис колись з’явиться, він буде лише за згодою, і ця політика повідомить про це до запуску.
Щоб забезпечити роботу акаунта й уроків; щоб добирати учням відповідних учителів, зокрема з їхньої громадської школи; щоб приймати оплату і виплачувати кошти вчителям; щоб тримати платформу безпечною і вирішувати суперечки; а також щоб виконувати вимоги закону, зокрема податкові та бухгалтерські.
Ми не продаємо ваші персональні дані й не використовуємо ваші повідомлення чи профіль для навчання рекламних моделей.
Ми користуємось невеликою кількістю обробників, кожен — з визначеною метою:
Google Firebase — автентифікація. Stripe — платежі та виплати. Постачальник відео — проведення уроку. Google Cloud і Cloudflare — хостинг і доставка.
Ми також передаємо між двома учасниками уроку те, чого урок вимагає, як описано в розділі 4. Ми можемо розкрити дані, якщо цього вимагає закон.
Наші системи працюють у Сполучених Штатах. Якщо ви перебуваєте в Україні, Європейському економічному просторі або Великій Британії, ваші дані передаються та обробляються у США із застосуванням належних гарантій.
Дані акаунта — доки існує акаунт. Записи про уроки та платежі — стільки, скільки вимагає податкове і бухгалтерське законодавство, а це довше за сам акаунт. Листування з підтримкою — доки це потрібно для вирішення питання.
Коли ви видаляєте акаунт, ми видаляємо або знеособлюємо все, що не зобов’язані зберігати.
Ви можете отримати доступ до своїх даних, виправити, експортувати або видалити їх, заперечити проти певної обробки та відкликати згоду там, де обробка на ній ґрунтується. Багато з цього доступно просто у профілі; щодо решти — напишіть на privacy@uki-tutor.com.
Якщо ви в ЄЕП або Великій Британії, ви також можете подати скаргу до наглядового органу. Якщо ви в Каліфорнії, ви маєте права за CCPA, зокрема право знати, що ми збираємо, і вимагати видалення; персональні дані ми не продаємо.
Трафік шифрується під час передавання. Паролі обробляє Firebase Authentication — ми їх не зберігаємо. Дані карток обробляє Stripe і вони не потрапляють на наші сервери. Жодна система не є абсолютно захищеною, і ми не стверджуємо протилежного.
Ми використовуємо сховище браузера, щоб ви залишалися в системі та щоб пам’ятати налаштування, як-от мову. Ми не використовуємо рекламні cookie чи сторонні трекери.
Якщо ми суттєво змінимо цю політику, ми оновимо версію та дату набрання чинності вгорі цієї сторінки і повідомимо в застосунку до того, як зміни почнуть діяти.
